JANE AUSTEN DANCE 2007

Went to the 10th Annual Jane Austen Dance last night at UCLA!! It was the 2nd anniversary of CLau and I  going together. Crazy fun!! First, Lady Christina Lau and I went and had dinner at yummy yummy Saks, and then we headed to campus where we took our "before-the-dance" photos.

Outside Royce Hall and Powell Library. The dancing couple.

"Yippee! I'm Christina Lau, and I'm overwhelmed with joy!"

"Philip! What am I supposed to do?!"

Distressed at the fountain, for Christina's Love has not returned from the countryside.

Distressed again before entering Powell for the dance, but this time because Philip and her had a big fight and must break up in case of potential suitors.

Ahhh!! Powell Library at night, closed-off but for all the Jane Austen dancers (including the one girl on the very far left of the photo who I went up to dance with, but was taken by another male suitor). Ahh! Such are the times of the 1800s!

The photo Christina most wants me to delete...NOOOO, Christina!

"Oooody, hooody hooo. What's in here??"

One of my favorite photos of Miss Christina Lau of Herpfordshire of the night.

Miss Christina and Lord Philip's favorite couple to dance with during the box waltz. WOOHOO!! All past or present UCLA students!!

Lady Christina and Lord Philip's last photograph of the evening. You can see our dance instructor in the back, all duped up for the evening, in 1800s attire.

I must say, that was by far my favorite Jane Austen dance that I have been to in the past few years!! We had a blast, dealing with various characters on the dance floor, making many-a-laugh, and walking back to our carriages from about 12:15am to 1am, parked near Rob's and my old apartment. GREAT TIMES!!

To those of you who I have invited in the past and make up some excuse or other not to join in the fun....you don't know what you're missing! Go! Have fun! Experience new things!

Anyhooo...good stuff!  THANKS FOR THE FUN, LADY CHRISTINA!!

"SIX FEET UNDER" = One of the most amazing tv series created

I am quite saddened because last night I stayed up till nearly 4am finishing the television series "Six Feet Under."

That show is one of the most amazingly written, acted, and produced television series that I have ever seen. It finished up in 2005 and I am so happy that I have watched the entire series over this past year.

Death is involved in everyone's lives and the way this show goes about that topic matter with such unique characters I am completely hooked. To anyone who has not seen this show, watch it from the very beginning without asking anyone what is going to happen because it grasps your attention and makes you think about some of the most horrifying and uplifting times in life. It keeps you in suspense and begging for more, all the while caring so, so much for the characters (people) portrayed.

This is a show that reassures me why I want to get into this entertainment industry.  When there's a show this powerful that it tugs at your emotions, I think it's doing its job.

Watch this show!! You won't regret it.

When Will Bush Just Shut Up??!!

Jeez! Now he's threatening to do something to N. Korea?? Big retaliation?! What's this, Mr. Bush?!???? FRIGGIN' A!!

I think...Why did God allow this man (or rather apprentice of the all-evil one...if you catch my drift) to be in office???? But then I think of all the people who voted him in!!! It frustrates the heck out of me!!!!! Just because he's Republican, it doesn't mean he's some Christian saint...he's obviously NOT! ARRRGH!!!!

I guess this is punishment for the US....having an idiot represent us, and an idiot fooling Christians into believing he's a good Christian. It's so stupid. Just because he's Christian, doesn't mean he should be in charge of a country.

Just had to let out some steam...because our country isn't going to go back uphill in any respects until he's out of office. I hope each person who voted for this evil person (which is most of the people I know)....either truly thinks about the next president to vote in or doesn't vote at all and let our country rise up from this horrible slump.

Don't let someone who says they are a Christian become Godlike in your viewpoint - like this guy did in many peoples' viewpoints. He's not God...remember that. Just because he supports one viewpoint of yours - like being against abortion - doesn't mean he's the best person overall. He's caused so many more problems than he should have. It's not worth it.

Okay...back to homework.
